Soul Gathering

 Connect to your Natural Self

Find Your Tribe

In the Natural World

Morning Cacao Ceremonies

Each morning begins with a ceremonial cup of Colombian cacao and a guided meditation. Rich in antioxidants and natural compounds that provide energy, cacao is the perfect companion for meditation. We'll then spend time in silence, connecting more deeply with ourselves through this beautiful gift from the Colombian earth.

Workshops and Lectures

Throughout the retreat, we'll explore workshops and lectures on reconnecting with nature, balancing the chakras, understanding the divine masculine and feminine, manifestation, and recognizing the beliefs that keep us stuck. Our central workshop focuses on reconnecting with your natural rhythm and bringing that balance into everyday life.

Sound Healing

Through indigenous Colombian instruments, healing chants, flutes, and music we create together, we'll experience the power of sound to quiet the mind, deepen our connection to ourselves, one another, and the land around us. Together, we'll discover how music can become a powerful tool for presence, healing, and expression.

Fireside Story Telling

Gather around the fire as we share stories, songs, and wisdom passed down through generations. Together, we'll connect to the land, our tribe, and our past while experiencing the timeless tradition of storytelling around the fire.

Daily Yoga, Breathwork, and Meditaiton

Each day begins with a morning yoga practice, with some days also including an evening class. Rooted in Hatha and Vinyasa, our classes draw inspiration from Ashtanga, Yin, Kundalini, and other traditions. We'll also practice 20-minute seated and guided meditations to cultivate presence, clarity, and inner peace.

Sacred Play

As we grow older, many of us lose touch with our playful nature. Through laughter circles, games, dance, movement, and creative expression, we'll let go of self-consciousness, reconnect with the wisdom of the body, and remember that joy and play are essential parts of healing.

Sauna, Pool, and Massage

Between practices, unwind in the sauna, take a refreshing swim in the pool, or simply relax in the peaceful surroundings. Professional massages will also be available for those who wish to enjoy an even deeper level of rest and relaxation.

Community and Colombia

Experience the warmth of Colombian culture through shared meals, music, traditions, and genuine community. You'll leave with lasting friendships and a deeper connection to the people, culture, and spirit of Colombia.

Mountains

Experience the magic of Antioquia, Colombia with BK Honest Yoga. Join us for a transformative retreat filled with yoga, meditation, and soul-nourishing activities.

Full Description

You'll fly into Medellin, Colombia- from there you can take an airport shuttle or an uber or taxi to El Poblado where a private group shuttle will meet you. We will bring you into the mountains to our retreat home which is a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by fruit trees, birds, fresh air, and breathtaking views. While flights are not included, everything else is: accommodations, nourishing meals, all activities, and transportation to and from the retreat center. From the moment you arrive, you'll be invited to slow down, breathe deeply, and let yourself be cared for. Our modern world causes us to forgot our natural rhythm. You may have learned to rush instead of rest, perform instead of play, and think instead of listen. This retreat is an invitation to remember the part of yourself that has always known how to live in harmony with nature. Through yoga, meditation, workshops, Colombian traditions, and meaningful community, you'll reconnect with a way of living that feels grounded, joyful, and deeply human. Each morning begins with a ceremonial cup of Colombian cacao and a guided meditation, followed by yoga in our ceremonial space. Rooted in Hatha and Vinyasa, our classes are inspired by Ashtanga, Yin, Kundalini, and other traditions. Throughout the week, you'll also develop a simple meditation practice through daily seated and guided meditations designed to cultivate presence, clarity, and inner peace. Throughout the retreat, we'll explore workshops and lectures on reconnecting with nature, balancing the chakras, understanding the divine masculine and feminine, manifestation, and recognizing the beliefs that keep us stuck. Our central workshop focuses on reconnecting with your natural rhythm and bringing that balance into modern everyday life. I want each person to go home with tools for how to reconnect long after the retreat is over. As the sun sets, we'll gather around the fire to share stories, songs, and wisdom passed down through generations, connecting to the land, our tribe, and our shared humanity. There will be nights we talk about family, about our experiences, and some nights where stories will be read and told. Through indigenous Colombian instruments, healing chants, flutes, and music we create together, we'll experience the power of sound to quiet the mind and deepen our connection to ourselves, one another, and the traditions of this land.  Healing (physical, mental, emotional) also happens through joy. Through laughter circles, games, dance, movement, and creative expression, we'll let go of self-consciousness, reconnect with the wisdom of the body, and remember that play is an essential part of a balanced life. There will also be plenty of time to rest. Between practices, unwind in the sauna, swim in the pool, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, or book a professional massage if you'd like an even deeper level of relaxation. One of the greatest gifts of this retreat is the opportunity to experience the warmth of Colombian culture. Through shared meals, music, traditions, and genuine community, you'll leave with lasting friendships and a deeper connection to the people, culture, and spirit of Colombia. This retreat isn't about becoming someone new. It's about remembering who you were before life became so busy, before you were addicted to the phone, before you forgot what makes you happy. Nature knows how to grow and bloom without forcing. Your body already knows how to heal when given the space. Your heart already knows its own rhythm. We can't wait to welcome you home here.

Our Team.

This retreat is a collaboration between BK Honest Yoga and LaWayra. While the retreat is designed by BK Honest Yoga, the space, the food, the energy, the support all comes from the beautiful people at the retreat center.

Getting To Lawayra

Step 1: Fly into Medellín Book your flight to José María Córdova International Airport (MDE). This is the main international airport serving Medellín. Step 2: Meet in El Poblado On the first day of the retreat, we gather in El Poblado, a central neighborhood in Medellín. We will organize transport in the early afternoon (around 2) - so its best to have a morning flight. I wouldn't recommend any flights that arrive after 11am on the 1st. From there, we travel together by private group transportation up into the mountains to LaWayra. You'll receive exact pick-up information about 3 weeks before the retreat via WhatsApp group chat- download WhatsApp if you don't have it already! You are welcome to: Arrive the morning of the retreat if your timing aligns (private ride) Arrive a day early and stay in Medellín to rest and adjust (getting a night's rest before the retreat can heighten the experience! There are many air bnb's in El Poblado- starting at around $20 a night- just read the reviews because some spots can be noisy, but it is a safe neighborhood) We will send the exact meeting location and time closer to the retreat date. Transportation from the Airport  From the airport to El Poblado: Uber is widely used and reliable  Authorized airport taxis are available There are Airport buses (Combuses) from Medellin's José María Córdova International Airport (MDE) drop off at two main locations in the city: Centro Comercial San Diego (near the Exposiciones metro station, best for Poblado/south). I'd only recommend this if youre a seasoned traveller and dont mind finding your way to El Pablado from there.

Food and Housing

Meal Choice You'll receive a questionnaire (1)  from LaWayra and (1) from BK Honest Yoga and LoveLand. On this questionnaire you can choose if you are omnivore, vegetarian, or vegan. Any other dietary restrictions you can add there as well. This plan can not be changed once you choose it as the kitchen buys the ingredients to accommodate for you!   Dorms and Cabins Dorms are bunk beds- whether you get a top bunk or bottom is luck of the draw. You may share the dorm with a couple people, you may share with many people depending on the capacity of the retreat. Cabins have a big bed, private bathroom, and a private hammock as well as a beautiful view. These are highly recommended for reflection and introverted time.
