BRIGITTE KOLIBAB
Brigitte Kolibab is a force of nature. She has an uncanny ability to facilitate group experiences that feel far beyond her years. With her joyful, down-to-earth, and fun-loving personality, she creates a comfortable, liberating, and energizing environment for her participants. Brigitte has been practicing and teaching yoga for over a decade, and the wisdom she has gathered from instructors around the world shines through in her teachings. Her intuition is remarkably powerful, often leading her to say the perfect thing to someone at precisely the right moment.
Brigitte is a Yoga Alliance-certified teacher in both Hatha and Ashtanga/Vinyasa yoga. She began practicing yoga regularly at age 15 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. In 2014, she received her first yoga certification and started teaching groups of up to 50 students at Temple University in Philadelphia. She co-founded a mindfulness meditation class at the Independence Blue Cross Recreation Center, and guided hundreds—if not thousands—of students over five years.
In 2019, Brigitte earned her 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training certification at Raja Yoga, with two intensive weekends at the Himalayan Institute founded by Swami Rama. During this time, she deepened her practice with daily Ashtanga yoga and explored various styles, including Bikram, Yin, Yoga Nidra, Kundalini, and meditation. She taught in Italy for several months and gained invaluable insights from renowned teachers in Bali, Indonesia. In 2024, she traveled to Rishikesh, India, to complete her 300-hour Hatha/Ashtanga-Vinyasa YTT certification. There, she immersed herself in sound healing, reiki, yoga therapy, transformative breathwork, Ayurvedic healing, and Vedic astrology. Today, Brigitte leads a thriving yoga community in Brooklyn and facilitates retreats around the world, including in Colombia, Turkey, Italy, and the United States.
When she’s not teaching yoga, Brigitte is an artist. She works with acrylic and oil paints, creating portraits, modern impressionist works, and abstract pieces. Over the years, she has also been a jewelry designer, muralist, actress, assistant to powerhouse entrepreneurial women in arts and design, face painter, realtor, server, bartender, freelance designer, and sculptor. Her diverse career and creative spirit reflect her belief in pursuing a life driven by passion and purpose.
Brigitte’s love of exploration extends to her travels—she has visited over 20 countries, connecting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and circumstances. She’s unafraid to forge her own path, even in the face of obstacles. Her life has been marked by profound moments of joy, love, and success, as well as deep sorrows, trauma, and struggles with depression. These experiences shape her belief in the power of connection: no matter who you are, where you’ve been, or where you’re going, Brigitte believes that through genuine understanding, we can create meaningful change in both our internal and external worlds.
